Welcome to day 1 of construction paper crafts for kids! This week I’ll be posting a daily activity using construction paper, so if you don’t already have some, grab some as well as a glue stick, a black marker and a pair of scissors and you will be able to do every activity I post this week. For today’s craft, we are going to make a rainbow unicorn mane. This idea comes from @projectartworkathome.
Supplies:
Construction paper, scissors, glue stick, black marker, crayons (optional)
Instructions:
1. Draw unicorn head onto construction paper
2. Cut 1″ strips of construction paper in assorted colors. I used my Fiskars paper trimmer but you can use scissors as well.
3. Wrap strips around a pencil or marker to curl
4. Glue curled strips onto the paper to make a unicorn mane
Check back tomorrow for another construction paper craft, I’ll be posting one every day for the remainder of the week. See you tomorrow! 🙂
