A fun bracelet that changes color in the sun! Watch the beads go from white to an array of colors just by stepping into the sunshine, makes for a fun discussion with your kids UV rays!
To make this bracelet only two supplies are needed:
- Clear elastic stretch cord (1mm)
- UV Beads

Just a note about the stretch cord that I linked, this is the exact kind I have. It is a LOT of stretchy cord so it’s great for classrooms or creating these bracelets as party favors. I keep coming back to use my stretch cord for a variety of things so I’m happy to have this huge amount.
Start by cutting a peice of your stretchy cord to size (plus extra for tying). Pre-stretch your elastic and then add the beads. When you have finished, tie your knot and trim off the excess cord.
Now the fun begins! Put on your bracelet and head outside to watch the beads change color.
When you come out of the sunlight you get neat pastel colored beads.
