Welcome to a look inside our quiet time activity bins for week #1. If you don’t know what quiet time is, or are looking for tips, check out my previous post Tips for Quiet Time Activities.
Monday’s Quiet Time Activities:
Scissor Skills, Shapes Decorating & Paper Chain Making: Cow scissors (Dollarama), construction paper (Target), Elmer’s Glue, glitter glue, pencil crayons, foam stickers (Dollarama)
Piggy play: I’m not sure where you can find these, I purchased for .10c at a garage sale.
Tuesday’s Quiet Time Activities:
Stamps: Melissa & Doug stamp pad & stamps, white paper, a pencil.
Memory Game: Memory card game (Walmart)
Play-Dough Play: Homemade Jello Play-Dough (recipe from Modern Parents Messy Kids), safety scissors (Walmart), cookie cutters, wooden rolling pin and plastic knife.
Wednesday’s Quiet Time Activities:
Polly Pocket Dress Up: There is more in the bin than the photo shows. The bin contains dolls, clothes and accessories and a few mini figurines. I actually don’t know where to find these in stores, some were given to us and I found the rest at a garage sale for $3.
Puzzle: Toopy & Binoo puzzle. We found ours at a garage sale for $1.
Build a Bracelet: Two rubber bracelets and accessories. This was a gift but I think they can be purchased at Walmart.
Thursday’s Quiet Time Activities:
Little People & Little People Klip Klop Ponies Play: The klip klop pony bridges can be stacked, its pretty neat! You can find these and the Little People Figurines at Dollarama.
Wand Decoration: Foam wands, markers, and foam stickers.
Puzzle: Finding Nemo (Dollar Tree)
Friday’s Quiet Time Activities:
Puzzle: Finding Nemo Puzzle (Dollar Tree)
Doctor Play: I used washable marker and made some “cuts” on the My Little Pony’s. I added Barbie band-aids, Miss V’s Doc Mc Stuffins doctor tools
Bracelet Building: Pipe cleaners, wooden beads, and alphabet beads.
I hope this gave you some ideas for quiet time. Check back again tomorrow for my week two bins =).
